Donald Trump is at War With the World
Trump Declares War on Iran. That's Now Four Nations, and Counting
Donald Trump bombing Iran without Congressional approval is not shocking.
Since January 20th, he has rendered our Constitution virtually irrelevant, ignoring every policy, precedent, and channel designed to prevent a maniacal individual from operating unilaterally and endangering our people.
However, his decision to declare war on Iran right now is surprising. He’s currently already at war with three other nations.
Over the last five months, Trump has worked incessantly to ensure that Ukraine is fully delivered into Putin’s hands, attempting to publicly humiliate and vilify Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, spinning this as a conflict incited by Ukraine, rather than the violent invasion of a larger and far more powerful oppressor that it is.
He’s partnered with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the slow but nearly complete obliteration of the State of Palestine and the Palestinian people, complicit in a genocide that would not be possible without Trump’s assistance.
And then, of course, there is his primary war on the American people, one he has been waging for the last decade both from inside and outside the Oval Office; a brazen, brutal, and unrelenting attack on our systems, safeguards, and liberties.
In recent weeks, the rollback of rights, the dismantling of services, and the compromising of our economy have exceeded even the most pessimistic of us, which makes the timing of the attacks on Iran so unexpected.
You’d think that destroying one nation would be enough for him, until you remember that he is one of the most corrupt, amoral cowards on the planet, an empty husk of a man who lacks a single noble impulse and whose only instinct is to inflict harm.
Trump is incapable of benevolence, allergic to decency, and unwilling to build anything that cannot be adorned with his name and parasitically sucked of its resources.
He is a jittery, unqualified, incompetent imposter with a toolbox filled with hammers.
This is the grim reality of our nation and, by extension, the world as long as he remains president. He will continue to traffic in violence, stoke division, and generate injury because those are his only plays.
The vast majority of the American people, regardless of political affiliation, know this. The recent No Kings Day protests have revealed the massive collective resistance to his illegality and immorality. And while Congress has proven essentially impotent in opposition, the media has largely bent the knee, and the Democratic Party has, on balance, been toothless in its response, the courts have been somewhat successful in slowing if not averting human and civil rights disasters.
But at this moment, the decent, peace-seeking people of this nation, our remaining politicians whose loyalty is still to this nation and not their self-preservation, and members of the media who still remember the high calling they are charged with, need to take a firm and unequivocal stand against the violence Donald Trump is trafficking in.
If not, it won’t just be Iran, Ukraine, Palestine, and America that are swallowed up by his insatiable desire to destroy and devour and cause pain; it will be the entire planet.
What a true and powerful call to stand up !!
It seems to me that as long as there are people willing to carry out his brutal orders our nation is doomed. How long can we survive with him in power?
