In the wake of the shameful growing legacy of mass shootings in America, one of the saddest realizations, is that the loudest, most vehement voices championing the cause of weapons of brutality—have come from professed Evangelical Christians.
Yes! What this doesn’t say is the rest of it: These people actually believe mass shootings are God’s judgment on a country that has rejected him. Far be it from them to stand in the way of God’s judgment.
I've witnessed people saying that the violence in our country is God's judgment for allowing gay marriage. The mindset of way too many Evangelicals is off base, sick, and sad.
They attribute it to everything the deem “sin” or “immorality.” Which of course includes same-sex marriage, but in the bigger picture also condoning LGBTQIA+ peoples’ existence in society.
I get sick of hearing 2nd Amendment zealots claiming their "God-given right" to own firearms. God NEVER gave ANYONE that right, and never will. I can't help but think a lot of these folks are in for a surprise come Judgment Day.

Jesus told us to give a damn….
The truths that are in the Bible, if you don’t pick and choose just a verse to make a point. Thank you, John .
Another good one. Thank you for writing words that are true and that these Evangelical people should know.
Thank you. I needed that today.
