Again an articulate and comforting essay on exactly what helps me sleep. Thank you again for your timely attention to all our needs. It is indeed a time that keeps magnifying the terror being spewed all around. I have stopped using the word “shame” as those who should be ashamed don’t understand the meaning.

Renewal…. Like water on a plant… that is our neediest emotion . Your steps work.

Sleep well as I can now.Thank you for the warm blanket of renewable energy.

I'm adding this essay to what I am doing today to Cultivate Gratitude. Thank you, John!

For Share the Load and community, the grassroots-directory.org is a listing of organizations powered by volunteers, all working to ensure that pro-democracy candidates prevail in the 2024 elections and beyond. Highly recommended, even just to look through and be amazed and encouraged at how Not Alone we are in working toward liberty and justice for all.

Thank you John. I have been a follower of yours for several years. I am a delegate to the Dem National Convention and this situation is literally making me sick. AND YES MAKING ME FEEL LIKE I HAVE LOST MY MIND. I am beginning to hate Christians and this country. It is so sad. I have lost my family, many friends and my mind because of Trump and this cruel movement. Thanks for keeping is sane.

Thank you John.

Yes, I have felt a little shaky lately. It may be that I've been reading too much and have thrown myself off balance. Too much social media and not enough being together.

Commenting to you just now, I realize that I have to keep this short and join family in the other room. Moment by moment, making better decisions.

. . . . . Thank you again.

John:

I just started reading the book “ Common Wisdom, by Laura Gabayan, MD, MS , pub 2024.

If I didn’t know better I would have to say you are both in the same mindset.

Thanks for this article and the peace of mind it can bring.

Thanks so much for these important reminders, John! I really needed to hear them. It can get exhausting, and I now realize that joy is necessary to keep going. It’s an act of resistance that feels really good! Today I’m encouraged.

Thank you Mr John

It has been a crazy few weeks. As most of you know that

Houston, TX. was hit by hurricane Beryl. It was crazy and the the time without power for little over a week (so many of us out) some longer than others.

It was a blessing to stay with one of our children( who were lucky to get power back so quickly) It was nice to slow down, spend time with the kids and our grandson.

Your right, I was less on social media, watching the local news( only to check in about power outages) Got to know my neighbors a little better.

People are angels in a crisis ❤️💕

John, this is good advice.

I hope you'll heed it and take a break from social media, at least for a day or two. It's obvious that you're hurting that Biden -- a good man and a good president -- has had to step aside. That's understandable.

But we need to let those feelings go and do what's best.

I don't think the polls were lying. I don't doubt that whatever Obama and Pelosi (though I'm not a fan of the latter as a messenger) showed him about public opinion was the truth.

I agree, as a journalist, that the media have been terrible. They made a huge deal about every moment of incoherence Biden has had. Let's hope they start doing the same about Trump, who is far more unhinged -- and that's hardly the only reason to disqualify him.

Out of crisis comes opportunity. This is ours.

Let's back away from social media for a few minutes if we need to. Then come back and get a movement going. Now's our chance.

Get people to march on Washington. Protest outside the Supreme Court and the New York Times. Make a stand.

The cause of freedom is bigger than one person.
