When Vice President Kamala Harris announced that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz would be her running mate in the coming presidential campaign, the decision was met with effusive praise from both Blue voters, as well as a disparate group of politicians and commentators.
I discovered a new vaccine, Kamalatim, that will protect us from the disease of Trumpism. Powerful combination of two comprehensive elements with the potential to block any advance of the dangerous demagoguery.
Today I had to have an in-office minor medical procedure. Not pretty and yes, painful. How did I help myself relax? No visions of beaches. Rather the faces of Kamala & Tim! Really! I grinned all day yesterday and feel so good about our nominees! Let’s keep up the momentum! Thanks for great writing.
Wonderful piece, John! Tim Holz and Doug Emhoff are both good examples of non-toxic masculinity and strength of personality. Kamala will be leading our country with strong men by her side.
I discovered Substack because a good friend sent me one of your publications. I immediately subscribed and have remained subscribed. Today you put the cherry on top of the cake. That MAGA's slur about Tim Walz is actually an attack on woman-kind is something I have been shouting for the last 50 years, only to be criticized, myself, for mentioning it. Why why why is it so few can see that comparing a man to a woman in an effort to put him down only slashes women. And if men truly believe that women are below them, what is the point in trying to kick women down further? And when women do it, they don't get that they're slashing themselves! Anyway, thank you for talking about it. I stood up and clapped.
Walz made sure pads & tampons were available for free to girls in the high school where he taught. The GOP troglodytes somehow think this is emasculating. 🤷♀️
How does someone find or see a comment on Oct 6 that was left on August 7? What algorithm does that? Or is it some other mechanism I do not understand as there are many?

Coming from people who wore maxipads on their ears?

What you wrote about him is the first thing we noticed. How comfortable he is in his own skin. I also appreciated how
he, Kamala, and Josh Shapiro wasted no time going after the dregs of the Rethuglican party.
The really nice thing about Walz is that he won't give a flying F*** about being called tampontimmy. He's too busy Tim Walz - a really nice guy.

I love that when elected, Governor Walz will be the first Lutheran vice president!
Awesome message, John!
This could be used to teach descriptive writing :)
Joyful Warriors Unite!
Peace Out :)
One of my favorite phrases ever: "contrived John Wayne dudebro American tough guy cosplay" 🤣
It's even better if you listen to the audio recording though. 😆
John, please know that the possessives are Walz's and Harris's.
Respectfully,

The Grammar Police applaud you!
Thanks, Christine. I hope John doesn't mind.
Thank you for the free editing advice. Some of those possessives are obvious, and some are really really not.
John Pavlovitz,

Amen!
I hesitate to say this, bcz I'm not sure I even want to know, but I really have no idea what that hashtag even means....

Wish they'd done that when I was in school. These items also need to be free of sales taxes.
Tampons aren't a medical product. They're basic hygiene. It's more akin to criticizing Walz for making soap available in restrooms.
