I have been inspired by each day of the series. The suggestions have all been practical and helpful. Today was maybe most useful to me. I have my people but not in any organized way. I know my family and friends all agree with me concerning where we are as a country. I know which neighbors that are still Trump supporter and I just avoid any communication about it with them. I’m not an introvert but have been hiding, doing the work every day on my own. This weekend I’m going to work on finding a community to join. Thank you, John, for all you are doing.
This is the best textbook for activism I have encountered! It should be standard operating procedure for all the sane people in the world who want to fight back against the insanity we deal with on a daily basis. Thank you!!
Thank you! This series is excellent and you my friend are so talented at giving us real steps for action. I think too many times we do not hear what next or how to move forward and see progress. Your series does just that!
My favorite episode so far. I am also an introvert so hit home. I am actively seeking a community to get into good trouble with and this gave me an additional push. It is great to hear this morning that I am not alone. Thank you.
John, you are an inspiration and I thank you for your willingness to share your wisdom with us. There is a community event I want to do at my church which I haven't started planning yet because of feeling so overwhelmed with the details. Today you have encouraged me to reach out and speak to people already doing this work in other places and join forces with them. This event now seems quite doable! Thank you!
What a great, helpful and inspiring post, read by me just as I sent a negative opinion on your posts/ Thank you for the positive and helpful advice in this one. Great suggestions
I had a bunch typed and then my phone went pffffft! Anyway I love this series. It has helped my focus. It makes me more aware we're all in this together ❤️. I am dreading the thought celebrating 250 with DonOld! It feels more like a funeral dirge. I will snap out of that and focus on the here and now. Little steps! ✌️❤️
I'm an introvert as well but I too believe in community. Here's my latest activist action - a letter to the editor of our local paper that appeared on Wednesday: "Now that our Leader has cajoled, threatened, and intimidated Republican Congressmen and women to pass his Big Bad Bill, his Gestapo ICE agents may show up any day! Prepare now to resist and assist!
Assist your first or second generation immigrant neighbors to resist and find a safe hiding place just in case. Keep them from being sent to the Everglade concentration camp.
Protect, Pray, Protest, and Prepare a Plan. Let’s not let happen to them what happened to the Jews in WWII."
So often, you are just what I needed to read. Thanks!
