Exactly! Some research actually indicates that sarcasm may be a sign of good brain health :) We really need to keep our giggle muscles strong during these crazy times, so thanks John!

I suppose we should stop calling his dumpsters on wheels "swasticars" too... ;-) I mean... if his life is SO TOUGH, I'll be happy to swap. I'll take the however many hundreds of billions of dollars he has and he can work two jobs. Should I offer that to him? I am SO happy to help.

My favorite new moniker for them is Wankpanzer, which is so much more evocative of both the vehicle and the person who buys it.

And Elon donates to which charities?

Expand full comment
Rosalyn's avatar

Exactly. I was talking about that (before the election) with some folks and the token MAGA in the group couldn't understand why. Elon could do so much good with no change to his lifestyle. I can't understand why MAGAs elevate selfishness to an art.

JMHO, but their attitude toward charity and empathy stem from their

libertarianism. Add their adolescent worship of Atlas Shruggedand other tripe penned by Ayn Rand. Thiel, Musk and others in Silicon Valley like to think they are UberMensch. In reality, they are misshapen orcs out of The Lord of the Rings.

What did the orcs from the Lord of the Rings ever do to deserve a comparison with Elon Musk?

Narcissistic personality disorder, psychopathology, sociopathy and a variety of other mental health issues are common traits of MAGAs, particularly the leaders and politicians who worship at the altar of Trump.

John:

The fact of the matter is that us Demonrats and LIEbruls are just a bunch of BIG MEANIES and we’re all picking on poor Elon Musk who is being unjustly persecuted for righteousness’ sake!

Poor little Elon thinks we don’t like him because he’s a white South African with massive white privilege, whose family benefitted from apartheid, and we’re not looking at the REAL Elon Musk (though maybe we are seeing him as he really is — a latter-day Mr. Hart from the movie “9 to 5”).

If we don’t start treating Elon the way he DESERVES to be treated, he’s going to tell his MOM and his DAD; and moreover, Elon will hold his breath until he turns BLUE and he DIES; and THEN WE’LL ALL BE SORRY!

[Elon sticks out his lower lip; a furtive tear appears in his eye; and he nods his head in agreement.]

Let's all be informed consumers and critical thinkers who, after careful research and thought have decided that buying an ugly, erratic, overpriced POS Tesla isn't a smart decision orbest use of our money.

I saw a Tesla the other day with a bumper sticker apologizing for having one but the owner is stuck with this car for now as finances keep them from purchasing a different vehicle. I’m seeing a lot more Rivians, Kia and Hyundai electrics on the road. I hope the price of Tesla stock continues to plunge. My apologies Elon!

John, thank you. Poor, poor Dark Lord and his sniveling Muskrat. We who are not wankers, thieves, and fools needs to be so so so much nicer to the people who want to round us up in concentration camps and do us in--or re-enslave us, create "whites only" toilets and drinking fountains (since the no segregation rules apparently are being removed from the federal law books), and, as their hero Cato the Elder instructed people to do, work us to the point of death and then push us in the wilderness to expire. Yep: that's what I'm gonna do. After yelling hurrah at the burning of yet another Wankpanzer . . . and then saying "oh, tsk tsk."

I'll have to take a look at poor Elon's whining on Fox. I do HAVE to admit, there are times when I really DO pity him! It wouldn't be the least bit surprising if DT throws Elon beneath the proverbial (whatever mode of transportation that seems appropriate). Most of the country's wrath is directed at Musk, while DT sits smugly by, enjoying his thoughts that: 1) carnage is being wrought on the "little people," and 2) when payback comes, he can cry innocence, since he's only been on the sidelines, just like his father, the Devil.

As long as one of them throws the other under the bus--or whatever--and soon.

Elon Musk deserves zero sympathy or pity. If he gets thrown under the bus, he'll deserve it. He saw an opportunity, donated millions of dollars to help DT get elected, and he moved into DT's hotel after the election. He did that for one purpose. He wanted power and influence to get more money and contracts from the US government, and have an advantage over other companies. He's every bit as bad as DT. They are two peas in the same wicked pod.
